Lainey Newborn Session

This little girl was a joy to photograph!  She did great and has a wonderful big sister to watch over her.  Her mom is also extremely creative and makes the most amazing bows.

Krista & Jeremy | Kennewick First Methodist | Kennewick, WA

Krista & Jeremy are a genuinely sweet match. We are always excited to shoot photos for those serving in our military. (In fact, we provides discount for active military personnel.)

They held to the tradition of not seeing each other prior to the ceremony — at least half-way. Jeremy, in his military attire posed blind-folded next to Krista for few special photos.

Her princess fairytale dream came true as they said their vows at the Kennewick First Methodist church. They exited the ceremony through the traditional gauntlet of saber-wielding marines. Her hospitable parents then hosted their guests at their home in Kennewick for the reception. We wish this happy couple all the best!

Andrea & Jerald | Wedding Photos & Movie | Prosser, WA

What a whirlwind day! Andrea & Jerald both got ready at Nouveau Day Spa — but didn’t see each other until the ceremony. At the spa, they held hands and exchanged gifts around a blind corner.

Then in a car provided by Four-star limousines, they headed to Bookwalter Winery to tie the knot. It was beautifully decorated by Tin Sparrow’s GariAnn, who also helped run the day with her wedding coordinator skills. They gutted it out through tearful vows!

Then it was off to the reception at Anthony’s Event Center where we were treated to a gorgeous sunset on the water. Their first dance was coordinated with class. We wish them well in their journey together!

Andrea & Justin | Wedding Photos | Prosser, WA

Andrea & Justin are a memorable couple. Their laid-back personalities made for some fun photos — like posing with ballerina topiaries!

From Justin’s lip-synched serenade during the first dance to Andrea’s soccer game — in her wedding dress — they are quite the distinctive pair. Yellow Rose Nursery in Prosser provided a colorful backdrop, including a cascading waterfall for the ceremony and reception.

The day was made more special with her brother as their officiant. It was great to see them at Molly & Dennis’ wedding, too! We hope to have the opportunities to hang out with them in the future.

Kelli & Cody | Wedding Photos | Prosser, WA

We had the fortune or shooting this fantastic couple for both their engagement (in Seattle) and their wedding — their wedding was in a much more rural setting in Prosser, Washington. The venue was a private back yard, and it was perfect!

These two have such fun together. They make an impression by always being themselves. They’re both so easy-going and relaxed, it made their portraits a joy to shoot. The family’s house in Prosser was a great location for their day: the surrounding vineyards provided some great photo opportunities.

Sure, it was hot — it was summer in the center of the state — but they made the most of it and had a blast! We are excited for this Seattle couple and their new lives together.

Ashleigh & Rodney Wedding Trailer | American Homestead on Chinook Pass

It can be painful to make a wedding trailer.

Let me explain: we had so much amazing footage from Ashleigh & Rodney’s wedding that distilling it into a 3-minute movie means stellar shots sometimes go unused.

This was our first time shooting at American Homestead on Chinook Pass, and we already hope we get to go back. There are loads of shooting opportunities with the open fields and aspen trees around. And D&Z Events did their usual stunning decoration work, providing us many detail shots.

But what really shined at their wedding was the bride and groom. Sure, the ceremony had 30 MPH winds, but you wouldn’t know it when watching Ashleigh and Rodney in the ceremony; when this couple looked into each others’ eyes at the altar, everyone knew this marriage was built to last.

June Newborn Session

Even though wedding season has hit full force,  we love babies, so we are trying to increase the number of newborn and baby sessions that we do. A few weeks ago we got to do a session with this handsome little guy when he was just 10 days old. He came out a bit early, but you’d never know it. Such a happy (and hungry) little guy! Who says newborns don’t smile?

Justine & Chris’ Wedding | Bethel Spanish Assembly of God | Othello, WA

After dating for five years, it was time.

A foggy, frosty winter day wouldn’t be enough to spoil Justine & Chris’ day, where loads of guests came to wish them well. Their sparkler sendoff was more treacherous than most weddings: freezing fog had iced the ground. But these athletes made it to their hot rod sendoff unscathed.

And a shout out to D&Z Events, who did their usual amazing job transforming a church cafeteria into a wedding reception area fit for a royal wedding!

Kelli & Cody’s Engagement | UW Arboretum, Pioneer Square | Seattle, WA

We began their shoot at the University of Washington’s Arboretum. One of the Arboretum’s designers gave Ryan a private tour of the grounds before the shoot — it was helpful to learn about the less-traveled spots.

Then we headed to Seattle’s Pioneer Square for dusk…and Pioneer Square delivered! It wasn’t too busy (the Mariners were playing, but it was only the bottom of the 3rd). We found a beautifully-lit alley  that we’d shoot in any day! (We had to remove some trash cans in our editing process, but it was well worth it.)

We’re enamored with what they gave us to work with, and we can’t wait to shoot Kelli & Cody’s wedding, coming up here soon!

Cherami & Scott’s Wedding | Christ the King | Richland, WA

Cherami & Scott met in Australia, as Cherami obeyed the travel bug. They hit it off immediately, and both knew they’d be married one day.

They didn’t have to wait long. We’ve been so blessed to shoot Cherami’s three sibling’s weddings, so we knew going in that this would be an awesome day. It was equal parts solemn and entertaining — a dignified blowout!

Their small wedding at Christ the King in Richland was followed by a reception-for-the-ages at her parents’ house. Lightning conspired against them, but they couldn’t care less. Guests danced in the rain as only their friends and family can.

We love them and their family, and we’re bummed their out of siblings to get married! Now onto the grandkids…right?
